Hands For Kwazulu Natal
An orphan in South Africa is classified as a child who has lost both parents to AIDS or one parent to AIDS and the other cannot financially support the child. There are 1.4 million AIDS orphans in South Africa. There are 208,000 children under the age of 15 living with Aids. Over 55% of people with AIDS are living in the province of Kwazulu Natal.
We are holding our first annual fundraiser and silent auction at Average Joes in Sherwood Park on Janury 9th, 2010 to raise proceeds to send our staff to South Africa to help make an impact and deliver supplies to the children living in the South African province of Kwazulu Natal.
